St. Patrick's Festival of Lights
One of the Lake’s longest running drive-through Christmas displays celebrates 28 years when the lights come on Thanksgiving evening.
The Festival of Lights at the Shrine of St. Patrick, Hwy 5, Laurie, is the oldest light park in the area. It was started in 1981 with hundreds of lights decorating the buildings and grounds and has continued to grow each year. With 4,000 strings of lights, over 60 automatic timers and more than 350 extension cords, the Festival of Lights has turned into one of the major places to see. Instead of animated displays, the focus is on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus and His Mother, Mary..
St. Patrick Festival of Lights will be open daily from 6 – 10 p.m. from Thanksgiving through January 1st. There is no charge for this beautiful light display, it is simply our gift to the community.

Versailles Unity Circle of Lights
The lighting at the city park has been an ongoing project for the past 5 years. Each year new lighted figures and sculptures are added. The "Unity Circle of Lights" name comes from the recently constructed "Unity Circle" to show cooperation among various entities in the community.
Located at the Versailles City Park on Hwy 52 West, the Versailles Lighted Drive Thru Park is open every night from dark until midnight Nov 27 through January 1. There is no cost to drive through the park.
New in Versailles this year is the Nativity Scene at the city square. |
